The Petplan Veterinary Advisory Board comprises of a number of highly accomplished veterinary professionals from veterinary clinics and veterinary teaching hospitals across the US.
All Board members are strong proponents and believers in the benefits of pet health insurance, and each member recommends pet insurance within their own clinic or hospital in order to promote pet wellness.
The Petplan Veterinary Scientific Advisory Board allows Petplan to remain at the forefront of veterinary medicine so that we may continually innovate to meet both you and your pet's needs.

Dr. Ken Drobatz graduated from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. For the next two years, he practiced in a private practice in Southern California, followed by the completion of a residency in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Drobatz then returned to private practice before returning to the University Of Pennsylvania as a member of the faculty in 1991.
Dr Drobatz is well regarded for his expertise in the areas of internal medicine and emergency medicine. He is a Professor in the Section of Critical Care and is Director of the Emergency Service at the University Of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in both ACVIM (Internal Medicine) and ACVECC.

Dr. Ernest (Ernie) Ward, Jr. is a 1992 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He is owner and chief-of-staff of Seaside Animal Care in Calabash, North Carolina which received the prestigious National Practice of Excellence Award in 1999. Dr. Ward is a frequent author and lecturer and is a member of Veterinary Economics' Editorial Advisory Board. Additionally, Dr. Ward is a Charter Member of the Association of Veterinary Practice Management Consultants and Advisors (AVPMCA)..
Dr. Ward has been featured on Animal Planet and has appeared on numerous television and radio talk shows and newscasts around the country. Dr. Ward has also presented lectures at all of the major North American veterinary conferences as well as conferences held in the United Kingdom. Dr. Ward received the "Speaker of the Year" Award from the 2004 North American Veterinary Conference
