Discounts Available

A number of discounts are available on all Petplan policies:

NOTE: The Maximum Discount Available is 10% per pet which is in addition to the 5% online discount which is applied automatically to all quotes obtained online.

Online Discount

Petplan offers a 5% online discount off policy premiums when a pet enrolls online. This discount is applied automatically to the premiums shown when you get a quote through www.gopetplan.com.

Microchip Discount

Micro-chipping is a quick and painless procedure that can help to protect your pet should it ever stray from home, and it can ensure a safe and quick return. At Petplan we believe strongly in micro-chipping and to encourage the practice we offer a 10% discount off of our policy premiums for all micro-chipped pets.

To claim this discount just answer Yes to the question "Is your pet micro-chipped?" during the "Quote" process, and then provide the micro-chip number during the enrollment process.

Multiple Pet Discount

Petplan offers a 10% discount for each pet you insure after the first one. Each pet receives its own insurance policy with full benefits.

To claim this discount all you need to do is enroll your first pet and then when it comes to enrolling subsequent pets simply answer Yes to the question "Are you an existing policy holder?" during the Quote process, and then supply your policy number when requested. This will automatically apply a 10% discount to each new policy that you purchase whether you choose to purchase online or over the phone.

Veterinary Professional Discount

Petplan offers a 10% discount for all licensed veterinarians, veterinary technicians (nurses), other staff members of a veterinary clinic while employed by the clinic, and for veterinary medical students currently enrolled at an accredited school/college of veterinary medicine.

To claim this discount, just answer Yes to the question "Are you a member of the veterinary profession?" during the Quote process.

Medical Services Pet Discount

At Petplan we appreciate what a worthwhile and valuable service medical pets provide for their owners. Our way of helping you offer the best level of veterinary care so that they can continue their good work is by granting a 10% discount off of all of our policies for medical service pets.

To claim this discount, just answer Yes to the question "Is your pet a medical services pet?" during the Quote process.

Strategic Partner Discount

Petplan offers a 5% discount for members of Strategic Partners of Petplan.

To claim this discount, just supply the unique reference number issued by your organization that you are a member of in the field "Do you have a Reference Number?" during the Quote process.

Employee Benefit Plan Discount

Petplan offers a 10% discount to any company that enrolls a group of employees with Petplan as a Group Benefit Plan.

To claim this discount on the web just enter the unique promotional code issued by your company in the field "Enter promotional code" on the second "Continue Quote" page of the Quick Quote process. The quote will automatically include the applicable discount in the premiums displayed under "Your Quote".
