Olive’s lengthy medical history – and its associated bills – is enough to cause any pet parent's stomach to flip, a problem that’s plagued Olive herself over the years.
Not long after signing up with Petplan in 2010, Olive developed gastrointestinal issues. When Olive began waking up in the middle of the night to go the bathroom, eating grass until she vomited and losing weight, Judy knew a trip to the vet was in order.
Like any pet parent, Judy pursued a myriad of treatments to help Olive overcome her problems. From antibiotics to acupuncture, chiropractic care and eventually an endoscopy (all covered by her Petplan insurance), Judy has left no stone unturned when it comes to Olive’s tummy troubles. “She means so much to me,” beams Judy. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her."
After Olive’s recent endoscopy, Judy, a believer in mind over matter, tried another approach – relaxing. It’s worked wonders. “She’s such a sensitive dog – it seemed like as soon as I began to relax, she did the same. She’s like a different dog now.”
