Rescued from a hoarding situation, 8-month-old Freya suffered from an upper respiratory infection that quickly turned into pneumonia. The frail kitten had an IV in her arm when Arielle and Alex first saw and fell in love with her. Unfortunately, Freya’s health condition required her to stay three additional weeks before she was permitted to leave Philadelphia’s ASPCA.
Those three weeks gave the couple ample time to prepare for their family’s addition, starting with finding the best pet insurance policy. Having worked for an insurance broker, Arielle knew the importance of early protection.

When playtime goes awry
Not long after going to her forever home, the grey kitten required veterinary care once more: Freya slid across the hardwood floor and slammed her hip against a leg of the kitchen table.
