Petplan Pet Insurance Names Chuck Virtu as Director of Information Technology

With almost 30 years of corporate technology and systems management experience, Virtu is well-prepared to apply his skills to Petplan, one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in America.

In addition to Virtu's experience with overseeing all aspects of the technology used to support the Commerce Capital Markets group, he spent 18 years with IBM, where he provided assistance in mainframe, network and server environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Philadelphia University.

Virtu admits that as a pet parent, Petplan's growth wasn't the only thing that appealed to him. "As soon as I walked in, I loved the culture, the vibe and the attitude of the place. My family always had dogs when I was growing up, and as an adult that has continued. We've had everything from St. Bernards to Miniature Schnauzers, so I appreciate Petplan's mission to educate pet parents about their breeds and pet health. But my all-time favorite breed is the pound puppy."
